If you have a Google + URL then you can give people an easy address to remember your Google + Page or Profile rather than the long numbers which are even more longer than common mobile numbers. This also creates a good impression. However you cannot have a URL of your own completely because Google itself gives you a URL that you cannot edit and you have to add a few words to it too. But nevertheless if you want to get a URL of your own follow the given steps and be sure because you cannot change the URL later. If you don't have a page learn how to create one here.
To get your own page custom URL:
- Sign in to Google My Business here and choose the page that you'd like to get a URL.
- In the left cornered Google + main menu click
Google+ Page.
- Click the About tab and scroll under "Get your custom URL" and click Get URL. If your page isn’t eligible to get a URL you won’t see the message.
- You will be given an approved URL which is unchangeable and you will asked to add a few letters to it.
- Tick “I agree to the Terms of Service” in the bottom left corner and click Change URL.
- You may be asked to verify your account by using your mobile phone number.
- Enter your mobile phone number when prompted, then click Send code.
- Check your phone for the code.
- Enter that code in the box on your screen and click Verify.
- Click Confirm choice.
- Remember, you can only change the capitalization and diacritics of the URL, not the URL itself.
Making Changes in the URL :
Follow these step if you want to change the capitalization or accents/diacritics of your custom URL :
- Sign in to Google My Business HERE and choose the page that you'd like to edit.
- In the left cornered Google + main menu click
Google+ Page.
- Click the About tab and scroll under links and click Edit.
- A box will appear that will allow you to make edits to the formatting.
Eligibility requirements (as stated by Google) :
- To get a custom URL, your account needs to be in good standing and meet a few other requirements.
- For local Google+ pages there must be a verified local business
- For all other Google+ Pages there must be a linked website.
