The steps to do this for different smartphones are listed below :-
Note :- For backing up your Whatsapp data on phone your mobile must have sufficient memory space.
For Android:-
- Open Whatsapp.
- Tap on "Menu" button of your phone.
- Tap on "Settings" button.
- Tap on "Chat settings".
- Tap on "Backup conversations" (it takes some time to process).
- Then to export any chat to your e-mail select "Email conversation".
- Then tap and hold any conversation and chose whether to attach media or not.
- After that sync it with your Gmail or use your E-mail to transfer your selected conversations.
For Windows Phone:-
- Open Whatsapp.
- In the main chat screen tap on the three dots at the bottom right corner.
- Tap on "Settings" button.
- Tap on "Chat settings".
- Tap on "Backup" (it takes some time to process).
- To export any chat Open the chat.
- Tap on the dots on the right bottom.
- Tap on "Info".
- Tap on the dots again.
- Select "Email chat history".
For iPhone:-
NOTE :- For Backing up you must have to be Signed In to iCloud.
- Open Whatsapp.
- Go to Whatsapp settings.
- Select "Chat settings".
- Select "Chat Backup".
- Select " Back Up Now" (it takes some time to process).
- To E-mail conversations Open the conversation, type Group name or contact and scroll to the bottom.
- Select "Email conversation".
- Enter your E-mail ID.
- Tap on "Send".
For Blackberry:-
- Open Whatsapp.
- Go to Whatsapp settings.
- Select "Media Settings".
- Select "Backup Conversations" (it takes some time to process).
- To export any conversation tap and hold it.
- Then select "Email conversation".
- Click on "Send".
